The development and approval of standards is based on consensus of the voting members of ASC Z80. All objections to standards are considered, but do not need to be resolved if the Standards Development organization tries and is unable to do so. To be recognized as a U.S. national standard, it must be approved by ANSI, the primary standards organization for the U.S.
The ASC Z80 standards chart lists the standards operated under each subcommittee.
The Standards Development Status lists the standards with their upcoming revision/reaffirmation ANSI approval dates.
